The objectives of the “Open Door” Foundation are: - to inform the beneficiaries regarding their rights according to the laws, as well as the steps they need to take in order to benefit from them; - to support and encourage individuals/families in overcoming the difficult situation they are facing at that specific time; - to prevent social marginalization and community (re)integration - to develop the social relation skills of elderly cases, to combat isolation and to encourage social integration of these people; - to create bridges between generations – sustain programs for developing inter human relationships between institutionalized children and elderly persons from the Ladies Social Club; - to involve people in volunteer activities such as: help with domestic activities for parents with many children, for sick people and lonely elderly; baby sitting for children whose parents are working; tutoring for children with learning problems and risk of school abandonment; rides with personal cars for people who want/need to go to church, hospital and can’t do that because of health issues and lack of personal vehicle.
